Introduction to Orcas Getaway

The last piece, which is my favorite, is my first Major Writing Assignment which was about 5 weeks into the quarter. I like this piece because it shows how descriptive I can be, and also it’s a place I’ve been going to since I was a baby. One of my favorite lines from my paper is “Walking towards the edge of the cliff, I feel a soft cold breeze that comforts me while I look at the beach filled with millions of misshapen rocks covered in barnacles and mussels growing lopsided on them.” This piece built up my confidence in writing because I didn’t think I could write anything like it.
